Sri Siam is an old word meaning 'Good' or 'Peaceful'

Birth: 2000 in Thai Phrae province

Male

Location: Lampang, Thailand

Mahout: Somchai Jantapaeng

Sri Siam was rescued along with his mother Boonmee, and donated to the Camp in 2001.

Personality

Sri-Siam is a very good elephant who is very easy to train. He is playful, he likes to tease his mahout by waving his tail at his face every morning. Like most other elephants, he loves playing and he has a talent for bursting balloons. In the ‘Elephant Games' held at the Center, he was the winner of this event.

Activities

He performs in the daily show for tourists at the Center, and he can easily win a game of darts between human and elephant.

Talents

Sri-Siam creates lovely paintings, usually starting each stroke by dabbing the brush near the top of each canvas and then draws toward the bottom, ending in a flourish. His independent painting style is very complex at times and never boring.

His painting has evolved greatly and he became a master of painting realistic flowers that is quite outstanding in terms of elephant art. Sri Siam is considered one of the best.

In addition to painting he plays music too.
